What people actually told us

You've felt every one of these. Pigey has an answer for each.

Real pains from 50+ remote-worker interviews. Names and faces are changed, and Pigey's replies are illustrative of what we're building, not live user reviews.

Mateo R.

aerospace student · barcelona

"I just work from home because I have no idea where to go."
Pigey

Three laptop-friendly spots near campus: fast wifi, outlets, under $5 to sit. Quiet till 2pm.

Aisha K.

security engineer · amsterdam

"Some cafes kick you out after 2 hours, some ban laptops at noon. That's burned me the most."
Pigey

Reference Library plus two cafes with no laptop limit. Flagged the 2-hour ones so you're not surprised.

Lukas B.

startup founder · berlin

"I'm not picking a chair and an outlet. I'm picking a room of people. Is this where the AI crowd is?"
Pigey

St. Oberholz, the founder/AI default in Mitte. Skews builder on weekday mornings, so you won't be the only laptop in the room.

Amara O.

product designer · lisbon

"Wifi just died mid-call. Again. I lost half a workday."
Pigey

Moved you to Copenhagen Coffee Lab, 2 min away. Wifi tested 50 Mbps this morning, outlets at most tables.

Mei L.

solo founder · bali

"I need somewhere I can work till 9 and walk home safe, as a woman, in a neighborhood I don't know."
Pigey

Two spots open late in Canggu rated 'safe solo after dark' by female nomads, well-lit walk home.

Rohan P.

senior engineer · bangkok

"I want to know how busy it is and how many desks before I make the trip."
Pigey

Ari spots stay calm before 11am, desks free in the mornings. I'll flag the ones with the most laptop room.

Hana S.

narrative designer · melbourne

"Places look great online, then you arrive and the seating's uncomfortable or it feels socially temporary."
Pigey

Sheraton lobby café: deep seating, open and atmospheric, fine to camp 3-4 hours. Not a transient spot.

Tomás V.

startup founder · medellín

"I don't have a good spot. WeWork's the best I've got and I'm honestly not a fan. I want variety."
Pigey

5 spots that aren't WeWork, matched to your focus-and-quiet style. Two you haven't tried.

Camila S.

nomad dev · mexico city

"Every coworking here is just other nomads paying western prices. I want where locals actually work."
Pigey

Three local-only spots off the nomad circuit in Roma Norte. Great espresso, real neighborhood, not a tourist trap.

Yuki T.

economics professor · tbilisi

"Coffee shops, ideally a patio now that it's summer, big plus if they allow dogs."
Pigey

Patio-friendly, specialty coffee, dog-OK. Three within a 10-minute walk.

Real reply format. Every spot gets the same honest read, up to 9 things that decide your day, grounded on the live web. Pigey flags what it can't confirm.

01

Text it what you need

Your city plus the brief: quiet, fast wifi, outlets, won't kick you out. Get as picky as you want.

02

It reads the live web

Pigey checks current sources for each spot, then makes a call instead of handing you ten links.

03

Get the honest read

Wifi, outlets, noise, laptop policy, and the caveats, so you skip the six-cafe gamble. It remembers your taste for next time.

More than a directory

Not just a map. An agent that knows the place.

A static directory is a frozen list. ChatGPT has a cutoff and forgets you by tomorrow. The good spots live in Discord servers, Telegram groups, and blogs nobody has time to read. Pigey reads all of it for you, makes a call, and remembers what you like.

Remembers what you like

Set your preferences once. Pigey remembers them across every city, so every answer is tuned to you, not a generic top-ten list.

Scores every spot on 9 things

Wifi, outlets, noise, laptop policy, seating, hours and more. The honest read that decides your day, so you stop gambling on six cafes.

Coming next the layer: people, not just places

See who's working nearby

Live coworking sessions on a map. Join one near you or start your own, no membership.

Sessions matched to your people

Deep focus, pomodoro, accountability, build & feedback, knowledge share or social, with the crowd you actually want to work alongside.

Rolling out to Pigey members first as plug_ opens city by city.

EJ
From the builder

I got tired of pasting the same requirements into ChatGPT and having it forget them the next day

8 years as a remote/hybrid software engineer at a startup, then at Google. 13 countries visited. I've walked into 11 cafes in a single week trying to find the perfect spot. I've arrived at places ChatGPT highly recommended for work only to find a 2 hour wifi limit at the location. I've sat alone in beautiful spaces wishing someone good was around to bounce ideas off.

Existing apps solve pieces of this. None solve all of it. So I'm building it, in public, no investors, just a real fix for a problem I live every day.

If this resonates, join the waitlist. Let's build this together.

Questions?

Honest answers to what you're probably thinking.

Is it an app? Do I download anything?

No. Pigey lives inside WhatsApp and Telegram, the apps you already use. No download, no login, no new account. You text it like a contact and it texts back, usually in 3-5 seconds.

Is this live, or vaporware?

The finder works today: text Pigey and it finds you real spots with an honest read on each one. We're in closed beta, opening in waves, so join the list and we'll send your invite. The social layer (seeing who's working nearby, live coworking sessions) is what's coming next with plug_.

Isn't this just Google Maps / Nomadable / Workfrom?

Those are static directories that go stale the moment a cafe changes its wifi or kicks out laptops. Pigey learns your preferences, reads the live web, Reddit, Discord, Telegram, and TikTok so you don't have to, and gives you a current read on what a spot is actually like to work from. Google Maps won't tell you the vibe, the laptop policy, or whether the wifi actually holds up. Pigey will.

Won't the info get stale like other crowdsourced lists?

That's exactly why static crowdsourced lists stop getting used: someone reviews a spot once, the wifi dies a month later, the laptop policy changes, and the listing never catches up. Pigey is built to constantly scan the live web, Reddit, Discord, Telegram, and TikTok, plus what members share on the ground, so the read on a spot reflects what's true now, not two years ago. Freshness is the feature.

What if I pre-order and the app never ships?

Full refund, no questions asked. We're not taking your money and running. If we can't deliver something genuinely useful, you get every cent back.

How does Pigey know what a place is like?

It's built to read the web, reviews, and what members share on the ground, then make a call: solid wifi, laptop-welcome, quiet in the mornings. Not a guarantee, an honest read with the caveats, so you skip the six-cafe gamble and land somewhere good. When Pigey isn't sure, it says so instead of making something up.

How specific can the filters get?

Really niche. Tell Pigey what matters and it learns. A few we are building for:

  • "Quiet cafe for deep work, 50 Mbps+, with a standing-desk option."
  • "Coworking open past 10pm, near transit, solo-safe after dark."
  • "Dog-friendly patio, good espresso, a monitor I can plug into."
  • "Big communal table, natural light, open past 9pm."

Set it once. Pigey remembers across every city.

Can I use this in my own city, or is it just for travelers?

Both. Most remote workers spend 80% of their time in one city and travel the other 20%. Pigey works equally well as your daily workspace finder at home and your go-to app when you land somewhere new. Pigey adapts to both: your regular spots in your home city, curated recommendations when you're on the road.

I run a space or host events. Can I claim it?

Once Pigey launches in your city, it will list and recommend spots whether they sign up or not. Claiming your space lets you shape what Pigey says about it, fill your slow hours by hosting a coworking session or event, see who is actually coming, and boost when you want a push. Free to claim. Get on the host list and we will reach out when the tools are ready.
